What is Feed Fannin?
Feed Fannin is a volunteer organization working to provide food for the hungry in the Fannin community through gardens, education and donations to the Americorps Food Bank. We strive to help each other become self sufficient.
The Feed Fannin Mission Statement; Working together to educate and encourage our community towards self-sufficiency while providing food for those in need.
At our first meeting in February 2009, we numbered about 40 individuals loaded with ideas and have since grown to a well oiled and dedicated network of over 150 volunteers (and counting) from all walks of life. We are farmers, retired professionals, business owners, clergy, young families and anyone who shows up at a meeting.
The Feed Fannin Organization holds meetings at 10:00 AM on the 2nd Tuesday and 4th Thursday of each month at Family Connections located at 101 Industrial Park Drive. We are an extremely happy group and welcome anyone to join our ranks. Directions to Family Connections
Family Connections is located off of Ada Street north of the Hwy 515 bridge in Blue Ridge, Georgia. You can get there by taking one of several routes.
Turn at the light on the East side of the Ingles Plaza and travel north on Industrial Park Drive passing over the Railroad tracks just before you reach Ada Street and then make a right onto Ada St. then take the next road to your right, (just before the large gray sign that reads Fannin Industrial Park), and then the first driveway on the left, (The Family Connections sign will be visible).
Another route would be to access Ada Street in Blue Ridge and drive north until you see the above mentioned large gray Fannin Industrial Park sign. Make a right and then take the 1st driveway on the left.
And coming from the North you can access Ada St by taking either Curtis Switch Rd from Rte 60, or Barnes Chapel Rd which is behind Fannin Regional Hospital, East of GA Rte 5. Both of which will take you to an intersection with Ada St and then head south until you see the large gray Fannin Industrial Park sign, (the sign faces South at an angle so the letters may not be visible from the North). If you pass under the 515 Hwy bridge you’ve gone too far.
